Educational Experiences

At Harris Primary Academy Shortlands (HPAS), we are passionate about ensuring that all of our children have access to a wide range of experiences to enrich their lives and support the academy’s curriculum. We have created a trip overview for the children’s time at the academy to give them opportunities to meet people from different careers, visit a range of places and experience what we believe are key developmental opportunities. Children will visit a range of places of worship, representing the six major world religions, to support their understanding and tolerance of other faiths and beliefs. Furthermore, we will develop links with our nearby secondary to provide children with the chance to use some facilities only available at secondary schools.
